Lessons usually occur at my Midtown apartment, conveniently located just a few blocks from Grand Central Station and only a short walk from the Metro stop along the #6 train at 51st and Lexington. I also occasionally teach at student's homes or offices but unfortunately, due to time-restraints, these are restricted only to locations within Manhattan.
Duration and Frequency
Each lesson is usually one hour in duration (although some students do take lessons lasting one-and-a-half-hours or even two-hours). Most students generally have one or two lessons per week at their regularly scheduled time slots.
Intensive courses can also be arranged based on availability for those student's wishing to learn or improve their Spanish within a shorter time-frame. Please keep in mind however, that learning to speak Spanish fluently requires considerable time and dedication and hence, this fact should be taken in to account when setting your future targets. Remember, I'm a Spanish teacher - not a magician!
These are generally not available, since each student has very different needs and hence, the best way to address this problem is through the individual attention only available with private lessons. However, joint classes can be arranged, for example, if two friends at similar levels, wish to learn Spanish together. These classes are generally charged at one and at roughly half times the regular individual rate.
I also design individually customized corporate courses for several companies within Manhattan. Each course is structured to address that particular company's unique goals and requirements with regards to learning Spanish. Class sizes vary from 5-15 students and are held at the client's site.
